Governor and Elected Officials Head to Sweetwater County for Capital for a Day

CHEYENNE, Wyo. –  According to Governor Matt Mead all of the top five elected officials will be in Sweetwater County this week participating in Capital for a Day events. These events include a public reception, project tours in Rock Springs and Green River, a groundbreaking at Western Wyoming Community College and conversations with local business leaders and elected officials.

“We revived this great tradition last year in Gillette and I am pleased to continue it in Rock Springs and Green River this year,” Governor Mead said. “Capital for a Day allows us to spend time in Wyoming cities and towns talking to people, listening and learning.”

Capital for a Day takes place on May 22, 2013. There will be a reception at the Sweetwater County Airport at 8:00 am, a dedication of a ceremonial historic building at the Union Pacific Depot in Green River at 2:30 pm and a public reception at the Sweetwater County Events Complex at 6:00 pm.
