Governor Marks Martin Luther King Jr./Equality Day

CHEYENNE, Wyo. –  Governor Matt Mead and First Lady Carol Mead joined several hundred other citizens for a march and for speeches to remember Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Events took place across Wyoming to honor King on January 21, 2013.

Governor Mead said Dr. King’s “I Have a Dream” speech delivered in 1963 was so important because it was needed at that moment in time and because it was as true then as it is now. Governor Mead said the public can honor Dr. King with service to their communities and country.
