Governor Mead Invites Public to Inauguration Events

CHEYENNE, Wyo. - Governor Matthew H. Mead invites Wyoming citizens to attend the swearing-in ceremony and reception for the state’s five top elected officials on Monday, January 5, 2015.

Matthew H. Mead will be sworn in as Governor followed by Ed Murray as Secretary of State, Cynthia Cloud as State Auditor, Mark Gordon as State Treasurer and Jillian Balow as Superintendent of Public Instruction.

The swearing-in ceremony can also be viewed via live webcast at, the Governor’s website.

“Wyoming people can join the ceremony live from their home, school or far away. Technology allows all of us to connect to this historical event,” Governor Mead said. “Students can participate from their classrooms and Wyoming military men and women – wherever they are – can tune in and take part.”

The swearing-in ceremony will start at 10:00 am at the Cheyenne Civic Center, 2101 O’Neil Avenue, Cheyenne. Following the swearing in ceremony there will be a public reception in the lobby of the Civic Center.

Inauguration Co-Chairs Kathy and Jack Steil said, “We invite all of Wyoming to join us in person or via the internet to welcome our elected officials.”
