Financial transparency group to meet on January 18

CHEYENNE, Wyo.– The Wyoming Financial Transparency Working Group will discuss potential ideas for furthering transparency during a meeting being held in room L51 at the Jonah Building in Cheyenne from 8:30 – 10:00 a.m. on Friday, January 18.

The agenda includes review of goals and objectives, hearing from Open the Books and reviewing past work to advance transparency, including opengov.com and the existing transparency website. Download the agenda

Governor Mark Gordon and State Auditor Kristi Racines created the Financial Transparency Working Group to develop specific solutions to improve transparency and accessibility to state financial data that can be implemented efficiently and expediently.

Members include: Governor Gordon, Auditor Racines, Senator Cale Case from Lander, Representative Tom Walters from Casper, Gail Symons from Sheridan, John Masters from Cheyenne, and Sheridan Press editor Kristen Czaben.
